Job Description :
You will be responsible for overseeing all technical, legislative and compliance matters relating to the effective Plant and Equipment Maintenance on this high profile contract. You will communicate with both Contract Managers and the Client to ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with site policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative and compliance requirements. To be based M3/M4 corridor from Luton to Reading area as they will be covering predominantly the Thames valley area. Hours of work will be Mon-Fri, 08.00-17.00.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management and control of all technical matters relating to plant and equipment maintenance; includes existing equipment, new works and future upgrade works within the Client’s demise.
2. Identify potential technical improvements for existing plant and equipment maintenance to facilitate improved reliability and/or cost reduction with fully supported documentation.
3. Acting as Client representative or as part of a professional team in relation to snagging, design support and witnessing and acceptance of projects.
4. To act to as Senior HV Authorised Person and HV Authorising Engineer for the contract.
5. Responsible for supporting the creation of an effective asset life plan in conjunction with the site based teams and through the use of industry best practice and presenting to the Client proposals to support required operational uptime.
6. Identifying risk within the contract asset base and development of effective proposals to present to the Client to remove or reduce risks. Responsible for ensuring that the CERMViewTM Risk Register is correctly implemented by Site and reviewing progress regularly with the site Contract Manager and Client during monthly reviews.
7. Ensuring, in conjunction with the QHSE, Compliance Manager, that CERMViewTM is correctly adopted and regularly audited to deliver a demonstrable reduction in contract operational risk
8. Liaise with Site Contract and Project Managers and Client Management to ensure proper completed hand over of delivered Projects and equipment as required by the contract inclusive of updated O&M files and asset registers.
9. Review of supplier provided OEM manuals and development of sound operating procedures and maintenance schedules to deliver optimum performance whilst maintaining maximum availability of the equipment.
10. Development and review of site policies and procedures relating to the maintenance of installed plant and equipment through adoption of industry recognised best practice, current legislation and experience and ensuring Client agreement through meetings, correspondence and consultation.
11. Identify and develop training plans specific to installed equipment to facilitate training of site engineers and for staff development. Creating a robust site plan to demonstrate delivery and ensuring site reports compliance through monthly contract reviews.
12. Assist the Client with resolution of technical matters arising from installed equipment or maintenance of this equipment, liaison with Site and Client management during any emergency operations or procedures
13. Supporting incident and after action reviews as required by the Contract Manager, Site management team or the Client management team.
14. Ensure that all incidents and after action reviews are correctly documented within CERMViewTM and that technical reports are provided to the Client in a timely manner.
15. Ensure all matters relating to Health and Safety legislative and compliance requirements are fully documented and understood by all site staff and subcontractors involved in the maintenance of plant and equipment
16. Assist in the development and adherence to method statements, ensuring best working practices are established and maintained. Carrying out regular reviews of current site held method statements to ensure accuracy and relevance to site operations.
